The first hour of scheduled writing is usually when I get my laundry in the washing machine, the dishwasher stacked, the coffee made, scull that glass of water I promised my body, create writing space, take pictures of writing space, and post things on social media about my writing space. Somewhere around the time that I realize all that’s left to do is vacuum, I suddenly become very ready to commit to sitting down and attempting to write.
Perhaps I’ll dedicate my first book to my unused vacuum cleaner and filthy floors.
