Threat

She rolled her sleeves up: a threat to the mind. Ready to bypass the exhaustion and frustration of a moment in time she felt obligated to endure, she rolled her sleeves up: a threat to the mind. Her back tall against the office chair and coffee to the left she stuck a pencil in her hair, tucked herself into the desk and rolled her sleeves up: a threat to the mind. She felt dizzy for a moment: the mind making waves. Her eyes were drowsy: the mind blindsiding her. The mind was nervous. She took a deep breath and let the oxygen wrap itself around her thoughts, lining them up. She would win this time: even if it’s just this once.

She rolled her sleeves up: the mind fell in line.
