They screwed a key in her back and stuck her in a jewellery box. They wound her and wound her and wound her…until she sang. Her tune was like diamonds bouncing off the sun, she twirled like sapphires chasing a rainbow and she stared, she stared at an invisible audience like it was her last show.

Her prison was her stage.
